Three things we always do
Explain the science
Every hack on this site includes the chemical or physical reason it works. Understanding the mechanism means you can apply the principle beyond the specific recipe we describe.
Give exact quantities
"A pinch" is not a measurement. Every hack includes the specific amount to use per unit of food — because the difference between the right amount and too much is the difference between a great result and a soapy-tasting one.
Test before publishing
Every hack, every quantity, and every recipe on this site has been tested in a standard home kitchen with standard equipment. We do not publish techniques we have not verified ourselves.
How this site is funded — full disclosure
Amazon Associates Affiliate Programme
Light Kitchen Hacks participates in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Programme. When you click a product link on this site and make a purchase on Amazon, we earn a small commission. This does not affect the price you pay.
We link only to products that are directly relevant to the hacks described on this site. Our editorial content is not influenced by whether a product earns us a commission — if something doesn't work, we say so.
All affiliate links are clearly identified on the pages where they appear.
